thinking about getting back into skydiving
this morning for some reason i really got an itch to start jumping again. for some reason the memory of one of my cutaways came back to me and it’s a good life lesson.
it was april in ohio, first day open at aerohio. i was on the first run, a 182 that had to launch from a different paved airstrip since our grass runway was too muddy. cold af.
i had a lineover after i pulled on a hop and pop from 7000ft, i’m still amazed at how my muscle memory kicked in. i can remember hanging on the strut and the pilot trying to shake me off! what a blast.coolest part is that they almost forced me to get on the next load, to get back on the horse after something like that. it was only my second season jumping and they didn’t want to lose me to fear. i took that next ride and had a blast doing a rare formation jump for me (i always preferred doing hop and ops at altitude), and then i made about 100 jumps during the next few months.

final feature
to be added in prior to launch: Launch Cash
a feature for businesses to reward their first users. when a user registers for Payfrit for the first time, they will be given the option to take a launch gift, which is essentially cash in their account. we suggest a minimum of $5, perhaps $10 for higher ticket places.
it’s just a little incentive for people to download the app, try it out on the house. business decides whether or not they want to offer launch cash, how much, and how many customers are eligible. and Payfrit gets the benefit of verified users, since we would be open to arbitrage without it.

can you even imagine
if i had a development team and i walked in and said “hey i had a dev team go over your repos in detail, here’s their findings, what do you think? you wrote this code, tell me about the faults they found in your code?”
i just had cursor run through all my payfrit repos in order to figure out what needed to be changed. chatgpt originally wrote the copypasta after planning things with me. then codex/vscode builds everything, then cursor proofs it.
fucking amazing.

nugget for you
wild prediction: when shohei ohtani’s deferred contract payments start coming due, the dodgers and ohtani eventually work out a path for him to become a minority owner.
no evidence, just a prediction.

it just feels like
the only thing the israel-palestine war has done was cement hatred of christians for many many more generations to come.
some of the policies described in this article are inhumane. not allowing diggers into the country, not allowing dna testing supplies. pure hatred.

pasadena’s finest

“horseplay”

“shot in the shoulder by the individual driving”
a thought: why do they only fire the guy whose gun accidentally went off?
